Colorado Mesa University Football Player Drowns at Potholes
A Colorado Mesa University football player tragically drowns at the Potholes on Glade Park.
Austin Worbington, 20, of Peyton, Colo. was transported to St. Marys Hospital via CareFlight yesterday (May 12) evening around 7 p.m. after he stopped breathing from being swept under the currents of the Little Delores River on Glade Park.
Worbington was a freshman at Colorado Mesa University where he studied kinesiology and was a wide receiver on CMU's football team.
CMU has counseling services set up for students in the Grand Mesa Multi-Purpose Room from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and throughout the day in Lowell Heiny Hall Room 109.
