Colorado Authorities Searching For Endangered Missing Person

Authorities are asking Colorado residents to be on the lookout for an at-risk individual who went missing on Wednesday.

The Aurora Police Department requested an Endangered Missing Alert for 36-year-old Gashan Akel who walked away from his home on Wednesday and was reported missing Thursday morning. Authorities say Akel functions at a six to eight-year-old level and cannot care for himself.

Mr. Akel is 5'8, 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white shirt with black pants and white shoes. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is asking anyone who sees this missing person to call 911 immediately.

We want to do anything we can to help get Mr. Akel back home safely. There's no telling where he might be at this point, so we just ask that you keep your eyes open.
