The CMU Mavericks played  the University of Northern Colorado tough for 30 minutes today in Greeley, trailing the Division Bears 10-3 at half time. But in the second half the Bears  scored on a 46 yard pass play and a 30 yard fumble recovery enroute to a 40-3 victory over the Mavericks.

Sophomore Jake Cimolino ran for 84 yards on 13 carries to lead the Maverick offense. Freshman quarterback Deke Cisco  was 10-20 for 69 yards and three interceptions.

The Mavericks drop to 0-2 on the season and will begin conference play next Saturday when they  host the Chadron State Eagles at Stocker Stadium.
