Check Out Fall Colors On The Flat Tops Trail Scenic Byway
If you are looking for a scenic drive to view Colorado's fall colors, here is one you might want to check out.
The Flat Tops Trail Scenic Byway is an 82-mile trip that will take you over two of Colorado's lesser-known mountain passes. The Byway runs from Meeker to Yampa, so choose your starting your point.
Along the way, you'll enjoy a striking view of the White River Valley from the top of Ripple Creek Pass. Forest Road 205 will take you on a short detour to the magnificent Trappers Lake.
WIth some side trips and detours, you can expect your color journey to take about five hours. Keep in mind, only about half of the byway is paved, and there are no gas stops along the way.
