American Idol Contestant Jeneve Rose Mitchell Coming to Fruita This Friday

Jeneve Rose Mitchell, one of top 14 contestants on this season of American Idol, will make her way to Fruita for a performance this Friday, July 22.

This young lady is Country to the bone. Originally from Las Vegas, her family moved to the top of Saddle Mountain in the Elk Wilderness region of Colorado.

Singing, guitar playing, and songwriting soon beckoned, and the rest is obvious. Check out J-Lo naming Jeneve as a finalist on American Idol.

Jeneve is currently performing around the United States. On Friday, July 22, her tour will bring her to the Cavalcade at 201 East Aspen Avenue in Fruita.

What would you expect to hear at one of her performances? Plan on hearing some old-fashioned Western music along with an original or two.

According to Jeannine Purser, the director at the Cavalcade, Jeneve not only sings and performs, she also considers herself "an ambassador to American music and its origins of Gospel, Blues, Soul, Old-Time, Cowboy, Folk, Bluegrass and Swing."
