The NJCAA JUCO World Series kicks off this Saturday at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction Colorado and the teams have just been announced. We are seeing some teams return to the tournament and also seeing some new faces to the JUCO World Series.

Two new teams to the tournament will be going head to head in Game 2. From the Northern Region Kaskaskia College who has a season record of 39-10 will be making their first appearance in the JUCO World Series. Also, playing in the tournament for the first time from the Northwestern Region Midland College out of Texas who has a season record of 47-13.

The champions from 2011 Navarro will be making another appearance in the tournament this weekend in Game 4. Another team out of Texas that has a season record of 43-15. One team that everyone thinks can give Navarro a run for their money is Connnors State College out of Oklahoma who had a season record of 52-9. They are actually the only team in the tournament with more than 50 wins.

Other teams in the tournament are Neosho County Community College from Kansas who won the Central Region tournament for the second year in a row. Spartenburg Methodist out of South Carolina will make their 9th trip to Grand Junction for the JUCO World Series. Walters State Community College out of Tennessee will be making their 6th appearance in the tournament. Central Alabama's Trojans will be back in the tournament for the first time since 2001 who posted a season record of 38-13. Last but not least Palm Beach State College out of Florida who posted a season record of 38-19.
