Yes, Doris Day Lives! Happy 90th Birthday

Doris Day is one of those celebrities who has largely disappeared from the public eye, but believe it or not, she lives, and today (April 3) celebrates her 90th birthday.

While she has shied away from the public spotlight, Day has remained extremely active in support of animal rights. As a movie actress, television star, and recording artist, Doris Day has experienced world-wide fame and commercial success.

For those of us growing up in the 60s and 70s, we have memories of The Doris Day Show, which ran for five seasons.The show is remembered for it's abrupt cast and premise changes from season to season.

Turner Classic Movies is celebrating her birthday  today with a full day of Doris Day movies.

Sunday, will be Doris Day day on Me TV, airing 7 episodes of The Doris Day Show, along with celebrity birthday greetings. Here's a look back at the opening credits from seasons one and three. Notice the likes of Denver Pyle, Rose Marie, and McLean Stevenson.
