What first caught my attention about this story was the word play on the Beatles 'Yellow Submarine.' What makes it fascinating is the Yellow Duckmarine is an amphibious tour bus designed to travel both on land and in the water. Well, maybe not so much in the water.

I can only imagine the passengers who were dumped into the chilly water at Liverpool's Albert Dock over the weekend rewriting the lyrics to the Beatles classic to "We all sank in a Yellow Duckmarine." (Worth noting, Paul McCartney has taken a ride in one of these that didn't sink).

According to the Daily Mail, 17 of the 31 passengers on board had to be hospitalized, none with serious injuries. All 17 have since been released.

Another one of these amphibious buses, originally designed as World War Two landing vehicles, sank in March making me think maybe the owners should consider turning these vehicles into real Yellow Submarines.
