I know people who put potato chips on their hamburger and on other sandwiches, but  I just don't understand it. It seems so wrong to me. And this comes from a guy who HAS to have chips with any kind of sandwich whether it be a hamburger, peanut butter with no jelly, egg salad, or a chicken-bacon-ranch from Subway. Now comes word that Fritos may be one of the featured ingredients in a new sandwich at Subway.

The new sandwich, which is still in development and testing in Florida and the Seattle area, is called the Crunchy Chicken Enchilada Melt, and it sounds pretty good.It comes with chicken, enchilada sauce, cheddar cheese, and, Fritos.

I happened to love Fritos, and while I am a bit skeptical about the idea of putting chips on a sandwich, this idea actually sounds like something I would like to try.

Of course, Fritos aren't exactly known as a health food, but I figure practically any kind of food - in moderation- can't be too damaging to my chances of reaching the age of 70 or 75. Maybe the folks at Subway would fly me to Seattle so I could give the Crunchy Chicken Enchilada Melt a try and write about my experience.

Since the sandwich is still in the testing phase, there is no word on if and when it will hit stores nationally.
