These lucky guys just won a free oven mitt, or so they've been led to believe, just for being the eighth customer of the day. They opted not to stick around to claim their prize, though. Would you have? Watch below, and then vote in our survey.

Would you have stuck around? Would you wait five minutes for your free oven mitt? Would you wait ten? How does one calculate the ratio of prize value compared to the effort to claim said prize?

In college, if the instructor didn't show up at the beginning of class, there was an exact formula breaking down the time a student had to wait before they could leave class.  I don't recall exactly, but it went a little something like this:

Level of Instructor                        Time a student has to wait before leaving

  • PhD                                                       15 minutes
  • Professor                                               10 minutes
  • Instructor                                                Who cares? We're leaving now.
