Many people build gingerbread houses. This guy built an entire gingerbread village and every bit of it's world record 1.5 tons of gingerbread, icing and candy is edible.

This colossal village built by chef Jon Lovitch and titled GingerBread Lane, has 164 gingerbread structures that took 10 months to build. It's the ultimate sugar lover's dream with 1,900 pounds of icing holding it all together.

The gingerbread village is on display at the New York Hall of Science. So, if your holiday travel plans take you to the city, this is one sweet stop you'll want to make.
