If you thought you missed the World's Greatest Yard Sale - good news - you didn't. It's on the way.

September is such a busy month and trying to squeeze in one more event is a challenge, but we are doing it, and  you'll be glad. Among other things, September brings Pork n Hops, Winefest, Fruita Fall Festival, the Downtown Car Show, and of course, the World's Greatest Yard Sale.

The World's Greatest Yard Sale is coming up on Saturday, September 27th at the Mesa County Fairgrounds,  and when you think about it, it's the perfect time for the yard sale. Summer is over with along with the blazing hot temperatures. The weather should be extremely comfortable for both buying and selling.

A lot of people like to hit multiple events on the same day--sort of like killing two birds with one stone. The thinking sometimes is 'we're already out for this event, we might as well hit this other one, too.' So on Saturday, folks will be heading out to the Downtown Car Show and Fruita Fall Festival, and while they are out, they'll want to swing by the  yard sale for some bargain hunting.

Because of work being in done in the park at the fairgrounds, the World's Greatest Yard Sale will take place in the parking lot. For sellers that means bigger spaces, and for buyers it means less walking and more buying.

Admission to the yard sale is $5 for adults and kids 12 and under get in free, and you can shop from 9am until 3pm.

It's not too late to get a booth space if you have some stuff you want to sell. It's just $30 for an 18 x 18 spot, and $5 for additional 9 X 18 spaces. To reserve a booth just call 242-7788, or stop by the studio at 315 Kennedy Avenue.
