The hot dry weather that Colorado is experiencing this week has lead to multiple wildfires across the state.


Black Forest Fire - Colorado Springs

According to the El Paso County Sheriff there is a 15-acre fire burning in the Black Forest area which started Tuesday afternoon.

[UPDATE] 10 homes on fire, fire is spreading south. Aerial support is on the way, ground crews already there and more on the way.

[UPDATE- 6/11/13@2200] Wildfire has grown to 8000 acres with 40-60 homes/structures lost.

Big Meadows Fire

A fire that broke out Monday afternoon on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park remains at two to three-acres.Two to three-acres are still burning on the western side of Rocky Mountain National Park from the fire that broke out on Monday.

[UPDATE 6/11/13@2200] Officials were going to let this fire just run it's course, but they have decided to try to bring it under control.

Royal Gorge Fire

A 200-acre wildfire broke out early Tuesday near Canon City just south of Royal Gorge.

{UPDATED-6/11/13@2200] The Fire has burned through the area of the Historic Royal Gorge Bridge, but officials say the bridge is still standing.
