For the rest of the weekend if you are asked “Who is the Highest Paid QB in the NFL” the answer will be Peyton Manning. Manning makes about $18 million a year, which makes him the highest paid QB in the NFL. Manning is not the highest paid player in the league. The highest paid player in the NFL is Indianapolis Colt's Defensive End Dwight Freeney who makes just over $19 million each season. Freeney will be the highest paid player until Monday that is.

On Monday the man who won the Super Bowl and MVP award will become the highest paid player in NFL history. Joe Flacco will sign a new contract reportedly a six year $120 million deal that will make him $20 million a season for the next six years. Wow, Talk about taking a chance

Before the start of the season the Baltimore Ravens sat down and offered Joe Flacco a contract extension, which he said thanks but no thanks to. That’s right Flacco walked away from a multi-million dollar deal, then went out and had a good regular season and an even better playoff run as he helped the Ravens win the Super Bowl. Now, on Monday he will see his gamble pay off as he becomes the highest paid player in the history of the NFL.
