Western Colorado Musician Recognized By Air Force For Memorial Fundraiser [VIDEO]

Western Colorado musician James Williams has been recognized by the United States Air Force for his hard work organizing a fundraising concert for the family of a fallen Mesa County Deputy.

James Williams, vocalist and guitarist for Fruita's The Williams Brothers Band, was recognized for his efforts organizing last week's benefits concert at the Mesa Theater. The concert, featuring several local talents, raised funds for the Deputy Geer Memorial Fund.

Tech Sgt. Jonathan Earl presented the certificate to Williams. According to a post on James Williams' Facebook page, Tech Sgt. Earl selected Williams to receive the award because "he said I exemplified the Air Force core values."
