Western Colorado Kids Can Get Free Books With ‘Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library’

I've fantasized about doing a number of things with Dolly Parton, but none of those fantasies ever involved reading. While I'm kind of out of luck, Grand Junction area kids can let their fantasies soar by joining "Dolly Parton's Imagination Library."

What on Earth is Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, you ask? It's a free service for pre-school age children, up to their fifth birthday, so long as they are residents of the Grand Junction service area.

The program encourages parents to spend time reading to their children. After signing up, parents will begin to receive books delivered directly to their home.

All you have to do is sign up, and then read to your children. It's that simple. A brochure including a registration form is available at the Mesa County Library.
