A Grand Junction car dealer just upped the ante in a community challenge benefiting a local food bank.

Townsquare Media of Grand Junction is working hard to ensure that hard working families in Western Colorado have food on the tables. We're hitting the streets, taking your non-perishable food donations and cash donations.

Fresh on the heels of a generous $1,000 donation to the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction, Carville's Automart has stepped up to the plate to match that anonymous donation with another $1,000.00. This is on top of the $1,000 match Carville's made two weeks ago when an anonymous Grand Junction resident donated at a remote broadcast at Safeway on Horizon Drive.

At this time, Townsquare Media and Carville's Automart are passing the baton. We're issuing a challenge to other Western Colorado businesses to match other incoming donations. All proceeds go directly to the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction.

Townsquare Media will take the "Carville's Community Challenge" to its next stop this Saturday, December 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Albertson's on Broadway. Please drop off your non-perishable food donations or cash donations during that time. Staff from the food bank and the radio station will be on hand to collect your donations.
