Unusual Things You Can Do With WD-40 (And Some You Can’t)
It used to be all you needed was duct tape, string and some wire and almost anything was possible. Now, add WD-40 to that list.
Sure, WD-40 can't fix everything, but I have found it useful for some of these hacks and a whole lot more. I actually know someone who not only sprayed the scratches, but polished his whole car with the stuff. Here are a couple of hacks I've tried recently.
If you have plastic impact sprinklers that are getting worn from the sediment from ditch water, spray the moving parts with WD-40. In many cases, It will temporarily keep them from sticking until they can be replaced.
Spray WD-40 on the tracks of your sliding glass door and screen and wipe it down. It cuts the grime built up on the tracks and leaves behind a lubricant to help the doors slide easier.
