To borrow a line from the popular Eagle's song "this could be heaven or this could be hell," but regardless of how you look at it, unlimited shopping is being offered at this weekend's Fashion Swap in Grand Junction.

For those that love to shop, it's a great opportunity to upgrade and change your wardrobe at a price that's pretty tough to beat. For those that don't enjoy shopping, well, this event isn't for you. Of course, maybe this isn't really considered shopping since you aren't "buying."

For a cost of $5, you can come and trade your old clothes for someone else's old clothes. If you pay $10, you can take home anything and everything you like and need.

The selection includes shoes, clothing, and accessories for men, women, and children. Items are not accepted if they aren't clean and in great condition so you can expect to find some real decent merchandise.

Everyone has clothes in their closet and drawers they don't wear any longer -but that are still in great condition. Instead of just getting rid of unwanted and unneeded clothes, they can be swapped at the Fashion Swap.

The event is this Saturday at Saunders Fieldhouse - Maverick Center Room 165, at the corner of 12th and Orchard.

At the end of the day, all remaining items are donated to the Mesa County School to Work Alliance Program.(SWAP)

According to the dashn2fashion website, there are four simple rules for swapping.

  • Bring at least one item of clothing in good condition
  • Items should be clean
  • Once the doors open for the swap, everyone can take what they like/need
  • No scratching, spitting, or fighting. If an item is picked up by two people at once, flip a coin.
