How far would you go to protect a political sign in your yard from being stolen, damaged, or defaced?

After those things happened to Trump-Pence signs in his yard, a Colorado Springs man has gone to a lot of trouble to protect the replacement sign.

Charles (Chuck) Corry, a former US Marine, and retired Oceanographer, was fed up with the theft and vandalism so he spent $60 and about 6 hours of his time making sure anyone with an inclination to mess with his sign got a big surprise.

Drivers trying to run over the sign will also run over a tack strip that will puncture their tires. Want to steal it? Good luck. Thinking about spray painting graffiti on the sign? Corry has that figured out too.

Since taking a number of steps to protect the sign, Corry reports he hasn't had any problems.
