Tom Brady and the New England Patriots' fans continue to fume following Denver's dramatic come from behind overtime victory Sunday night.

In an interview on WEEI in Boston, Brady said he's never been "so visibly pissed off," and he and many Patriots fans thought the officials played a major role in determining the outcome of the game.

When asked about the offensive pass interference calls against Rob Gronkowski(a stat in which Gronk leads the league) Brady replied:

"They (the officials) feel like there's a push off...so it's obviously different than what I thought cause I'm looking at it too but they are the ones with the flags and they throw it.You hate to see if come down to stuff like that, but there were a lot of plays last night that didn't necessarily  come out the way we would have hoped. I'm certainly not going to sit here and blame the officiating. Some days you get the calls and some days you don't."

The show host proceeded to speak on Brady's behalf saying  "We'll blame the officials for you because they were awful last night. Gronk seems to be a marked man."

Brady went on.

"I don't think I've ever been so visibly pissed off after a loss. And I think everyone felt the same way. Hopefully we can use it as motivation going forward.I just think the circumstances of the game, the circumstances of the situation that we were in with winning by (14 points), having a good lead there in the fourth quarter, having a couple of third downs called back -- huge third downs that we made -- called back by penalty, losing a player like Gronk in the fourth quarter, fighting back like we did to get to overtime. Then I thought the first play of the overtime, the guy hooked (Brandon LaFell) and they didn't call that. And then they got the ball and scored the touchdown."

Brady certainly has plenty of things to be mad about - like his offensive line that allowed multiple sacks and hits on the New England quarterback. Or the guy that muffed the punt that led to a Broncos score. Or, how about the defense that surrendered a 14 point fourth quarter lead, and then allowed the Broncos to score on their first possession of overtime.

Brady was clearly disappointed by the officiating.

"Sometime we are getting them and sometimes we don't, we weren't getting any last night and I don't know why or why not. I have no clue. It's a tough way to lose a game, especially when we had some pretty great opportunities to close them out and we didn't for a myriad of reasons... couldn't quite make the critical one when we needed it and when we did it was called back..."

Patriots fans haven't stopped whining since Sunday night. According to them, the officials-  AND the NFL - handed the game to the Broncos. Here are just a few of the comments on Facebook from dejected Pats fans.

  • "The officiating was really bad in that game. Obviously Pats fans including myself are pretty pissed off at how bad it was. The officiating was horrible and that the Pats got screwed by the refs."
  • "There is NO DOUBT in my mind that Roger Goodell is totally involved in this."
  • "The League is dishonest and obviously doing all it can to handicap the Pats. Belichick will likely beat them anyway!!!"
  • "The entire game was an nfl lynching of new england."
  • "The scumbag refs are being paid off by big money guys in Las Vegas."
  • "It's obvious the refs had an agenda to make sure the Patriots lost that game."
  • "Just another way the Refs tried like crazy to give the game to the Broncos last night. In the end, all of it worked and I am sure the NFL is ecstatic."

The fact is, the Patriots had plenty of chances to win the game, but in the end, it was the Broncos who overcame poor officiating, the weather conditions, and made enough plays to get the win. It is simply too difficult for Brady and his fans to accept the fact that they were beaten by a team with a quarterback making just his second NFL start.

The Patriots and their fans were embarrassed.  You will have to excuse their conspiracy remarks. They are like a wounded animal lashing out. They know not what they do.
