The Grand Junction community is joining together to help the family of one of the two men killed in a tragic accident near Parachute while assisting another motorist change a flat tire.

A special account has been set up at Alpine Bank for the family of 30-year-old Timothy Randall. According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the fund has been set up to assist Randall's wife, Nichole McKissen, and their two young sons ages 1 and 4.

In a KKCO 11 News report, The Colorado State Patrol said Timothy Randall along with 19-year-old David Moore, Jr. had stopped along I-70 approximately three miles west of Parachute on Wednesday (November 5) to assist the driver of a truck pulling a cattle trailer.

The two men were struck and killed by a passing vehicle while alongside the vehicle. The vehicle that struck the two men remained on scene and authorities have not released any information regarding the driver of the vehicle that killed Randall and Moore.

Donations to the family can be made at any Alpine Bank location in Nicole McKisson's name.
