A thief didn't need a debit card, only the number to make fraudulent purchases at a Grand Junction store.

Crime Stoppers of Mesa County says on November 30, 2016, the suspect used a stolen credit card number to fraudulently pay for his purchases at Walmart, 2881 North Avenue.

Authorities did not release information about how the man got the debit card number he used.

The suspect purchased over $800 in merchandise. The store's security cameras identified the crook as a male with long dark hair. At the time of the purchase, he was wearing a blue long sleeved shirt and glasses.
