It's possible you haven't heard of Grand Junction's Community Streets event, but it is something you might not want to miss.

The 2nd annual Community Streets event encourages families to be more active and to put more physical activity into their everyday lives. So whether your preferred mode of transportation is a bicycle, roller skates,  skateboard, or just your own two legs, you can be a part of this fun event.

On Saturday, October 20, 10th Street will be closed from Main Street to North Avenue to make room for all kinds of fun. You might be playing human tic- tac- toe, pickle ball in the street, or any number of other fun things.

There will be food trucks, giveaways, booths, fun activities for kids and families, a bike rodeo, ice cream, and live entertainment provided by Union of None. The band will be playing at Washington Park  on Gunnison Avenue next to East Middle School.

So, if you don't have anything else going on this Saturday between 10am and 3pm, why not make your way down to 10th Street and get in on some of the fun at Community Streets. It looks like the weather will be fantastic.
