The 5th Annual Colorado Hard Cider Festival is the western Colorado drinking event with a twist - it's all about hard cider.

The event  on October 29 is hosted by Delicious Orchards, on Highway 133 between Hotchkiss and Paonia. Featuring members of the Rocky Mountain Cider Association, including Big B's, Colorado Cider Company, Snow Capped Cider, Stem Cider, Wild Cider, C Squared Cider, and others, festival attendees can sample a multitude of flavorful hard ciders.

Live music throughout the day  includes Folk , Bluegrass, Americana, Folk Rock & Reggae with Highway 50, Let Them Roar, and The Solar Brothers.

Admission to the festival is free, while tickets for tasting are sold ranging from $20 to a $50 VIP ticket. Camping is also available for a modest fee of $10-$15.

Wine and beer tasting events are plenteous in western Colorado, but this is one of the few - if not the only one featuring hard cider exclusively. So, for something a little different, head to Hotchkiss for the Colorado Hard Cider Festival.
