Watching this terrifying climb to a height of over 1700 feet will make you appreciate the job you have. I am so glad that climbing towers is not in my job description. You may be one who does not necessarily love your job, and if that's you, this video is for you.

Imagine having to climb towers like this - for a living. Are you kidding me? I wouldn't even want to watch videos of people climbing towers for a living. Holy cow, my legs start shaking when I get near the top of eight foot ladder, I can't imagine what would be happening at 1700 feet. My legs would be like spaghetti, for sure.

How dangerous is tower climbing? A friend of mine was killed in a tower climbing accident a few years ago. The crew was taking a tower down so it could be moved to another location. They were down to the final section - a 30 foot piece of metal. For whatever reason, this final piece, the section closest to the ground suddenly fell over with Tim still on it. His tragic death illustrates the danger of climbing - whether you are 30 feet off the ground or 1700.

So if you found yourself complaining about your job today, take a look at this video and it may help you to see the brighter side of your daily grind.
