Parades are a part of many towns' Fourth of July celebration and there are several parades to choose from in Western Colorado. So, don your red, white, and blue and celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic parade
Last week we reported there may not be a July 4th parade in Grand Junction this year unless there was a group willing to take over the organizing of the parade. The good news this week is the parade is on, and the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra will make sure it happens.
Let's unofficially kick off Spring and the start of the cycling season with a look back at Grand Junction bicyclists from 1947 through 1949. The following photos are courtesy of the estate of the late Daily Sentinel photographer Robert Grant. Enjoy, and let us know if you see somebody you recognize.
On December 1st the Parade of Lights will come to downtown Grand Junction. This years theme is a Fairy Tale Christmas. We would like our listeners to join us on our float this year. Come out dressed in your favorite Fairy Tale character and enjoy the Parade of Lights firsthand.
