It was August 16, 1977. One of those few days in a lifetime that will never be forgotten. Elvis Aaron Presley died at the age of 42, shocking fans across the nation and around the world. Most people, I think, remember that day in some fashion, and how they heard the tragic news of the death of the king of rock and roll.

Nearly forty years after his death, Elvis Presley is still getting some parents in Utah “All Shook Up” over lyrics they say are too sexual for students to perform in their high school musical. The complaints that ultimately led the school administration to ban the production.

It’s been 35 years since Elvis Presley died, but the King is still very much a hot commodity. As proof, a pair of Presley’s used underwear will go up for auction in Manchester, England, next month and could fetch tens of thousands of dollars. Oh, and did we mention that the skivvies have visible stains? Eww!
