The good news. Grand Junction and Montrose residents are less of a risk to lenders as credit scores in the area are on the rise.  The bad news. So is the amount of debt.

When it comes to managing money, specifically debt, Grand Junction residents do it better than anyone in Colorado.

This is the time of year when some of us find a little extra in our paychecks, or get a nice fat bonus after we’ve already been paid. It’s a great way to end the year, but if you don’t plan ahead and think it through, that bonus could disappear quickly, along with the smile it gave you.

There are millions of Americans struggling with debt and chances are it didn't happen suddenly. In spite of what some tell you, you can't make it go away quickly either. The good news is, in most cases, you can reduce your debt. But, it's going to take some lifestyle changes and a long-term plan.
