Spring time is a fun time in radio land because of the fun events we get to do from Southwest Arborfest, the Art and Music Festival, the World's Greatest Yard Sale, the Rose Hill Rally, and the Insane Inflatable 5k, just to name a few.

After being cooped up all winter with Western Colorado being draped by a layer of snow week after week for weeks on end, most of us are read to get out and start living.

Southwest Arbor Fest, the annual chili cook-off, brew-fest, and tree giveaway event is coming up on April 19th. If you have a killer chili recipe you should enter the cook-off for the chance to win a cash prize. If you are just a taster and not a cooker, this event gives you a chance to sample some of the best chili in the valley.

For bike riders, the Rose Hill Rally is just around the corner on May 4th at Canyon View Park. This annual bike ride raises funds for the St. Mary's Rose Hill Hospitality House and is a great family event.

The Art and Music Festival in downtown Grand Junction has made some exciting new changes and will be held May 9th, 10th,and 11th. This year's festival includes a variety of music including a headline show by the classic rock group Firefall.

The Insane Inflatable 5k comes to Western Colorado on May 10th as part of a nationwide tour. This 3.1 mile course with 12 huge, inflatable obstacles will challenge runners of all ages. I can't wait for this one.

These events are just a tip of the iceberg of what's to come. We also have Cocktails and Cookie Creations to benefit Girl Scouts, the Tee Off For Testicular Cancer golf event, and the World's Greatest Yard Sale.

Spring is here, as is the event season. Now if we can just get the weather to cooperate when these great events come up, we'll all be happy.
