Students attending School District 51 schools will have an extra two hours to get to class on Monday (February 1) due to heavy snow across Western Colorado.

(UPDATE: 6:05 a.m. Monday, February 1) Due to additional snow accumulation overnight, School District 51 has canceled classes for the day.

The delay was announced Sunday evening via the school district's website and Facebook page.

The district asks that parents who drive their children to school to use caution and allow plenty of time to get students to class.

Buses will run two hours later than their normal schedule with brief delays possible depending on road conditions along the route.
