September 19: National Tell a Police Officer Thank You Day

Today (September 19) is National Tell a Police Officer Thank You Day.

The special day of recognition was started in 2012 as a way for citizens to show their gratitude to the men and women who work to keep their communities safe.

The day was founded by Whole Truth Project who are dedicated to promoting law enforcement in a positive way.

So, make it a point to seek out a police officer today and take a moment to say thank you for the great job they do. And if you don't happen to see an officer, you can still say thanks in the comments section below or on our KOOL 107.9 Facebook page.
