Mesa County School District 51 will be involved in two different arts and crafts fairs during the first half of May.

Mesa View Elementary School will host a craft fair from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. this Saturday, May 4 at the school, 2967 B Road in Grand Junction. More than 20 vendors will be on hand for this event, and activities include a silent auction and a bake sale.

All proceeds from the Mesa View craft fair will go directly to support the significant needs students. For more information, call Ashley Orr at (970) 254-7973.

Also starting this Saturday, May 4, the eighth annual Super Rad High School Art Show will open to the public at 7:00 p.m. in the J.C. Penney’s wing of the Mesa Mall, 2424 Highway 6 & 50 in Grand Junction.

The gallery will display art from area high school students, computer graphic students from Western Colorado Community College, and photography students from the Career Center.

The exhibit will remain open until Saturday, May 11, with an award ceremony scheduled for Thursday, May 9.
