This Saturday morning(July 26) in Canyon View Park, the Colordash 5K Run/Walk is happening to Benefit Partners Of Mesa County. Come out and get your colors on for a great cause!

The mission of Partners Of Mesa County is to make a difference in the lives of young people, and their Mentors, by helping them develop and keep a positive self image, a sense of self belonging and an acceptance of responsibility for their actions.

To help raise needed funds to complete their mission, Partners is hosting the Grand Junction Colordash 5K, billed as "The World's Brightest 5K" It is a fun run/walk where the participants are "bombed' with color packets as they go through the course.

It is not to late to sign up for this fun event! Just get registered here, and bring your family and friends to the park starting at 7:00 am to pick up your registration packet. The run starts at 9:00 am and the course meanders around Canyon View Park, located near I-70 on 24 Road north of Mesa Mall. The Colordash is not a timed event, but is all about getting the family and friends together to have lots of fun and make some memories. It is a great way to teach your children the importance of helping out others, and become a bright, colorful mess while doing it! Turn a white t-shirt into a colored memory with a great story to tell others.

If you would like to like to get involved with Partners as a Mentor, get the information you need here or call them up at 970-245-5555. You can also make a tax-deductible donation online or in person at 1169 Colorado Avenue, the corner of 12th and Colorado in Grand Junction.
