The Grand Junction Police Department is searching for two men who found a wallet then used a credit card in it to pay for a purchase at a North Avenue store.

Crime Stoppers of Mesa County reports that shortly after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22 a person dropped their wallet after putting money into a parking meter on North 5th Street.

A credit card from that wallet was used later the same day to make a purchase at the Phillips 66 gas station at 2847 North Avenue. The store's security camera recorded images of the man who used the stolen credit card. The suspect is a white male in his early to mid-twenties. Another white male was seen with the suspect.

If you know the identity of either men in the photos you are asked to call the Grand Junction Police Department. Information can also be given anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers of Mesa County at 970-241-7867 or online at the Crime Stoppers website.

If the information leads to an arrest, the person providing the information is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 without having to reveal their identity.
