Nose jobs are on the rise, and it's possible that selfies on Facebook is the reason for it.

According to prnewswire.com, in the past year there has been a 10% increase in nose jobs and a 7% increase in hair transplants. Plastic surgeons apparently think it's because people are taking more pictures of themselves, putting them out there publicly, and they are obsessing over how they look.

Often times, selfies, those self-taken portraits aren't the most flattering of photos, particularly if you don't have very long arms. The closer your phone camera is to  your face, the more distorted the picture will appear. I think my selfie at the top of this post makes my head look like Egg Head from the old Batman TV series. I have no problem with my nose.  But, now that I look at it, I wouldn't mind more hair.

There will be no nose job for me. What I've got is what I'm stuck with, and I'm okay with that. If you are unhappy with how you look in a selfie - stop taking selfies!
