Rod Stewart's first chart success was 1971's smash hit Maggie May, which spent five weeks on top of the charts. Since then, Stewart has managed more than 50 chart hits, including 4 number ones. But, like many musicians,  Stewart  had to wait for success after releasing his first single on September 10, 1964. Not many people will remember 'Good Morning Little Schoolgirl'. Shoot, most of us have probably never even heard it. The song didn't chart, but the 19 year old Rod Stewart was on his way to becoming one of the rock and roll greats of all time.
