It's been a great start to the Fall season, unless your are are a skier or a ski resort. The extremely nice weather has forced the postponement of opening day at a number of Colorado ski resorts.

Breckenridge Ski Resort was hoping to open on Friday, but the mild weather and lack of snow has caused an indefinite postponement of opening day.

Keystone and Copper Mountain had both planned to open on Halloween, but were unable to do so because of the warm weather. They are hoping to get open this weekend.(Nov.7)

Meanwhile, the target date for opening day at Powderhorn remains December 11th and the opening at Sunlight is scheduled for December 5th.

Both Loveland and Arapahoe have already been able to open the slopes to skiers. Don't despair. Snow - and cold - is on the way. Get the skis ready to go, and stand by.
