It's time for this week's Sure Fire Picks, as you prepare your picks for the Pro Football Pick'em Contest. This looks like another challenging week, but one thing for certain is that Seattle won't lose in consecutive weeks. Last week I went 3-0-1, thanks to the Cincinnati/Carolina tie. We just throw that one out, and for the season I'm 15-4 on picks.

SEATTLE over ST. LOUIS
Normally, this would make for a great divisional game, and normally I would give the Rams an excellent chance to win this game at home. But......the fact is, the Rams are struggling-- again. The Seahawks also look to be having a few issues after falling to Dallas last week, but they are still one of the best teams in the league and there is no way they are going to lose two in a row.
My Prediction: Seahawks 34 | Rams 17

NEW ENGLAND over NEW YORK JETS
The Jets seems to be getting worse. The Patriots seem to be getting better. That can't be good news for the Jets. Geno Smith playing at New England in potentially wet conditions is a recipe for disaster. Besides, it's Thursday Night Football, which means the game can't be closer than 20 points.
My Prediction: Patriots 28 | Jets 7

BALTIMORE over ATLANTA
Speaking of bad teams -- exactly how bad is Atlanta? Well, they have lost three in a row since they put 56 points on Tampa Bay. Okay, so maybe the Falcons aren't exactly a bad team, they are just playing like one. Baltimore, meanwhile, is playing like a good team, and they are at home. Although the Falcons are due for a win, this probably isn't the week to get it -but the'll be close.
My Prediction: Ravens 28 | Falcons 27

BUFFALO over MINNESOTA
Kyle Orton is back!  The Minnesota Vikings are going backwards. The former Purdue/Denver Broncos quarterback has stepped in and given the Bills some stability at the quarterback position, although this is still a roller coaster kind of team. Playing the Vikings should be an up for the Bills. Minnesota can't look any worse than they did last week against the Lions, can they?? The Vikings are horrible --and they are even more horrible when they are on the road.
My Prediction: Bills 27 | Vikings 13
