One of the great Fourth of July traditions in Grand Junction is the huge fireworks display at Suplizio Field and this year's promises to be better than ever. In recent years, the fireworks in Grand Junction have been canceled due to construction at the stadium, and due to fire dangers and wildfires burning in the state. But, this year's event is scheduled to go on as planned and it's an event you won't want to miss.

In past years, there has been a variety of entertainment during the evening at Suplizio Field, leading up to the fireworks at 9:45. Again this year, there is entertainment before the fireworks but this is entertainment worth seeing, even if there wasn't any fireworks.

Boogie Machine returns to Grand Junction for this special July 4th presentation. Many fans will remember their past experiences at Rock Jam and at Pork n Hops. Boogie Machine, out of Denver, specializes in 70's Disco, Funk, and Rock complete with hair and costumes. They deliver a high energy, entertaining show that gets fans singing along, and  up on their feet.

The Boogie Machine Concert begins at 8:00 with the fireworks display set to begin at 9:45. The gates at Suplizio will open at 7:15, so come early find a seat, and get ready to Boogie.

Tickets for the event are $5 and available at City Market and at the Parks and Rec office at Lincoln Park. Premium seats are going for $10. You can register to win tickets from KOOL 107.9 right here.

If you can't make it into the stadium to see the fireworks, you can tune in to KOOL 107.9  at 9:45 to hear the specially choreographed music for the fireworks display.
