A new Salvation Army Thrift Store has opened in Grand Junction.

With Kmart being the latest retailer to exit North Avenue, it's great to have a new store opening up, and the Salvation Army Thrift Store officially opened Thursday at 240 North Avenue.

More than 13,000 square feet of shopping await customers looking for bargains on clothes, shoes, furniture, kitchenwares, books, electronics, sporting goods, and miscellaneous items. The store has a nice feel - and there is a lot of stuff.

Profits from Salvation Army thrift stores their Addiction and Recovery Program on the western slope.
