Mystery Solved! Now We Know Why Bikes Have Handle Bars

It is possible that you have never wondered, but just case you have, the mystery has been solved and we now know why bikes have handle bars.

I have to admit that "back in the day" I did my share of riding my bike with no hands. To the best of my recollection I never met with disaster. However, it is possible that such a memory has been blocked from my memory so as not to have to relive such a traumatic experience.

The same can't be said for Noah Grannigan who recently won  the 2014 Tour Of Somerville, only to find himself face down on the pavement after taking his hands off the handle bars to celebrate his victory.  You see, Noah, that's why we have handle bars on bikes.  That's where our hands belong.
