The Grand Junction Police Department and Crime Stoppers are looking for the person or persons who climbed into a parked car and climbed out with a lot of climbing gear.

The theft occurred sometime between 9:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7 and 4:40 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8 when one or more people climbed into a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Hill Avenue.

Once inside the vehicle, the suspects removed approximately $700 of climbing gear. Among the items stolen were ropes, body harness, repelling devices, black diamond helmet and a personal anchor system.
