Mother Nature gave parts of  Western Colorado an early April Fools surprise with snow, even though in many places it melted as soon as it hit the ground.

The snow was barely noticeable other than watching it fall in Grand Junction, but other places saw it hit the ground and stay.

The Powderhorn 'Phreshies Cam'  showed almost two inches of fresh snow as of 4:00 p.m. Tuesday (March 29), giving skiers and snowboarders hope for some good conditions for the final weekend of the season.

KOOL 107.9 weather watcher Susan reported snow falling and sticking in Crawford as the temperature dipped to 34 degrees Tuesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service forecast for the remainder of the day still gives the Grand Valley a chance of snow, but you won't need to get out your snow shovel. Good news for those of us who have put it away for the season.
