It doesn't matter if you're young or old, the fascination with flying is the same, especially when you get a chance to see the aircraft up-close and meet the pilots who fly them.

The free Montrose County Tribute to Aviation is September 10 and 11 and gives the entire family a chance to take a peek inside the airplanes and learn more about flying as a hobby or a career.

The aircraft displayed range from vintage biplanes to current civilian and military airplanes and helicopters. The show will also feature gliders and experimental aircraft.

The aviation show is at the Montrose Regional Airport Saturday (September 10) and Sunday (September 11) from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. In addition to the aircraft, food, beverage and other vendors will also be a part of the event.
