Montrose Residents Invited to Share Their Community Pride

It's easy for Montrose residents to think of something they're proud of about the place they live. For starters, it's awesome to have the Black Canyon of the Gunnison  in your backyard.

So, now it's your turn to share your community pride with others during the Montrose celebration of Colorado Cities and Towns September 11 through 17.

Ther are three great ways to show your community spirit and pride.

1. Write a short paragraph about why you love Montrose.
2. Compose a brief paragraph or two about what the Montrose lifestyle means to you.
3. Put together a creative social media post using photos, videos and text that expresses your love of Montrose using the tags #MontroseCO and #Montrose Lifestyle.

By doing this, you're not only showing your own community pride, but helping craft what the 'Montrose Lifestyle' is all about.

When compiled, the information will be shared with people outside of the Montrose area showing both the personal and professional feelings about the town.

Entry deadline is Monday, September 11 at 6 p.m. Entries along with contact information can be dropped off at City Hall, 433 South First Street, or emailed to info@visitmontrose.com with "I Love Montrose" in the subject line.

Submissions will be featured at CityofMontrose.org and prizes will be awarded to the top submissions at the Montrose City Council meeting on September 19.
