Wednesday (March 2) the Montrose Library is throwing a party to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday.

In addition to the birthday celebration, the library is also recognizing Read Across America Day which, by no coincidence, is the same day as Dr. Seuss' birthday.

The party will be from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Montrose Library Story Hour Room and will include Dr. Seuss themed crafts and games.

If Theodor Seuss Geisel were still alive, this would be his 112th birthday. In honor of of Dr. Seuss, here is one of my favorite quotes.

The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go."

If you have kids around, grab a favorite Dr. Seuss book and read it together. If you don't have children to read to, pick you favorite and read it out loud just for fun.
