Meteorologist’s Coffee Cup Prank Proves the Cup is Almost Always Empty [VIDEO]

What many viewers of television station WBZ thought was a mistake by meteorologist Barry Burbank, was actually a prank pulled on both his co-host and the viewers.

Burbank intentionally held his coffee cup upside down to prove the cup is neither half- empty or half-full.

As Burbank explains it, the cup normally on the news desk, is almost always empty since he doesn't drink coffee. It's simply a prop to match with co-host Kerry Connolly's cup which is usually full of coffee.

Burbank admits he occasionally drinks green tea, but didn't realize the 'intentional miscue' would become a story in itself.
