If you love great local produce, arts and crafts, live entertainment, delicious treats, and the occasional superhero or two, make plans to head to downtown Grand Junction every Thursday evening for the downtown Farmers Market.

The market gets underway Thursday evenings at 5:30. The produce has been exceptional this year. The food and confections can't be beat. Here's just a sample of the great vendors you'll find. For your listening pleasure, a stirring rendition of "The Farmer In The Dell" accompanies the video. Good times.

For the record, the belly dancers and superheroes AREN'T necessarily at the market every week. Each week's event features different acts. Live entertainment for Thursday, July 7 includes:

  • 6th & Main- Drum Safari
  • 7th & Main- Lainey’s May

You can enjoy free parking during the market at the parking garage at 4th and Rood. Parking is free only during the Farmers Market's operating hours of 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Stock up on the great local produce, and while you're at it, visit with your friends and neighbors while enjoying great entertainment, the downtown Farmers Market runs every Thursday, all summer long.
