Colorado has been a wonderful source of movie shooting locations through the years, but would it surprise you to know Western Colorado has fared pretty well in Hollywood?

From the 1940's through today we have had some wonderful films shot here in western Colorado, as well as eastern Utah. Maybe some of you answered the casting calls that were made for these films and you have some screen time on your resume',

    Quentin Tarantino's post-civil war epic was filmed in Telluride. The film brought such stars as Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russel and Channing Tatum to Telluride.

    Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

    1969

    The classic film was shot in a variety of places including DurangoSilverton and Telluride. The train robbery scenes were filmed on the Durango-Silverton Narrow Guage Railway, which was also used for the opening shot in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as well as Around the World in Eighty Days. And that scene where they jump from the cliff into the water below? It was filmed at the Trimble Bridge near Durango.
